Strawberry Setup - alwysfishin - 10-03-2006 I am headed up to fish Strawberry for the first time in a couple years. I have been reading the posts and had a few questions. What size jig head is the best for the depths the fish are currently sitting at? What is the best way to find the fish if I am out in a tube with no fishfinder? I think I will be hitting Chicken Creak East and will be in a red tube on Thursday morning. Thanks for any tips! Re: [alwysfishin] Strawberry Setup - ironworker - 10-03-2006 first of all. welcome aboard. i use either 1/8 or 1/4 ounce jig heads and 2 1/2 inch white or chartruse tubes. if it were me, i would stay on the east of the bay and fish south to the cut in the hill. this is where i caught most of my fish on sunday. also i tip my jigs with either a piece of minnow or night crawler. good luck to ya. be looking for a report when you get back.
