World record elk - lunkerhunter2 - 10-04-2006 New World Record This Elk was killed with a bow in the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness. He green scored 575" and should net out at about 530" non-typical. He has an unbelievable outside spread of 79". This is the biggest bull ever taken with any weapon. I know they found a bull in B.C. that scored in the high 470's that drown in a river. My first thought was it was from that area.
