Fishing Report - Tarpon4me - 10-09-2006
Well, it was such a great trip last weekend. The water was as calm as I had seen it all year. My father in law lost a huge tarpon at the reef. He had a large pinfish on the bottom just in front of the choice structure I was anchored on. We managed to land a nice black tip and I got some nice fillets out of him.
We also stumbled accross two huge schools of spanish mackerel as we were about to leave. We chased them around for an hour, manageing to boat 2. Pretty slack all things considered, but atleast we got two of them.
The spots are still biting around the creek mouths. The flounder and the trout are also doing very well.
