Hey Guys!
Well, the weather is FINALLY changing here in Big Tex and with it comes cooler water and frisky bass! I thought the 100+ days would never end but now I have my wish!
Last week I pulled on my sweeeet Big Fish Tackle Beenie, loaded up the boat and set out for an adventure on Lake Ray Roberts. I am happy to report that there are still fish in this lake even though the water has been down for months now! My little cove where I've caught so many bass is now a finger of sand off of the main lake sporting all different kinds of green vegetation.
All I can think of is "man, if it rains alot this spring...I'm gonna be spankin bass all day long!"
I caught a lot of small bass and had one big bite. I said to myself..."Self...another week of cool weather....another week of cool weather" and poof....weather man says "another week of cool weather"...how did I do that??? Note to self...try this technique in a tournament!
While I didn't spank 'em this trip, next week they're mine for sure! After 5 more hours, I pulled my BFT beenie down over my ears and went back to the dock...even more excited about fishing next week!

[unsure][font "Poor Richard"][green][size 3]Well you must have sent your heat wave right on to SoCal. We been having 100ยบ degree weather for the past several days. They just started stocking our lakes with trout as the season has just opened. Needless to say that the trout are going real deep looking for cooler waters. Guess that I won't be fly fishing for a while again.[mad][/size][/green][/font]

Oh wonderful trout! I love trout fishing...very relaxing. Sorry about the heat wave I sent ya! Since I've discovered I have this amazing power over the weather, I'll start willing a cold front to swing your way-haha!
