Blacksmith & Weber - leaky - 02-20-2003
Been fishing both the last couple of weeks. Blacksmith, fished above the damn and just below Hardware. Fair success with prince nymphs and caddis nymph catching good size whities and small trout. Weber, still my favorite - good numbers of whities and smaller browns on the same set up. Fished below Echo and above Devil's slide. Not that much pressure. Yesterday, my guess is I caught about a dozen whities and 6-8 trout (mostly browns) on the small size. However, caught a 16 and a big hook mouthed 19 incher that didn't fight worth a dang. Brought a few whities back for dinner.

Thanks for the report Leaky, I just got my new flyrod built and I am itching to try it out. I think I am going to try Blacksmith. Maybe tomorrow after class I will give it a try. Did you notice any Blue wing activity? Maybe I will try HFT's drymerger out.
