Utah Lake is frozen! - slayerace - 12-05-2006
I went by LBH today at noon to verify the ice rumor. It is indeed frozen. On my way home I took the lake frontage going south. As far as I could tell the entire north end of the lake well south of the bubble up is capped. I could not see any open water at all. Maybe we can get a Lincoln and AF harbor report from other sources.

Fished some of those harbors.....safe ice....2 inches. But only one lousy white bass. It was boring for me. Needless to say......"That Don't Impress Me Much".......It had the looks but didn't have the fish. hehehehe. Well, you guys can make fun of me now....lol. You can guess what music I loove. lol.

Yo tube dude and slayer... yah early ice seems to always produce massive amounts of white bass. A week ago, caught only 6 whities and a perch through very thin sheet of ice. Hope this cold stays on! fish on![cool]

lol, didn't slay anything at all......it was seriously dead......I don't anticipate massive schools for a few years yet. Don't forget the population is still rebounding. I didn't bother with ice at Utah lake at all last year. Despite a few crappies and gills that are still there. I anticipate a few decent catches of large white bass this year, but I won't hope for anything massive yet....but who knows.....we may get lucky. It's a little early for the movement.....but any day now......
