We have enough ice to fish on now here. I am going to Fish lake north of Duluth on Saturday if anyone would like to join me and my buddies out on the ice.

I'd take ya up on it septin I would have to get up 5 am tomarow to be there by 5 pm fryday.
I went out today looking for ice, one of the smaller pond lakes was slushed over. nothing on any lakes with any size to them.
Alpine Valley Ski Lodge opened down the road from my house, man made snow.... but snow is snow when you are shushing....

Haven't been out yet. I've been working everyday since the ice has been good. I'm going out tomorrow on stewert lake north of Two Harbors tomorrow morning. See if the eyes are hungry. Supposedly 6 to 8 inches of ice according to Al from Al's Bait. I've been anxious for fishing for the last month. Finally, I get to go!!![cool]

ahhh... mind letting me in on yer secret? LOL. I'm sure you would if I made the trip up to fish with ya.
I was out today for a few hrs. It sure felt good to go walking on water! Had 7-8 inches underneath me. Found a spot where the fish were hovering at 17 feet in about 22 feet of water. But couldn't get one bite. Not even a nibble. Threw everything but real meat at them.

I have ice fished at 2 lakes already. One in Utah and one in Idaho. Both fished very well for trout!

2 of us went out saturday and ended up keeping 5 walleyes and 4 crappies. There was 7 inches of ice, took the wheeler. I went out by myself sunday and got 4 more walleyes. I'm going out tonight for crappies on a little secret lake and I am hitting up Lake Vermillion saturday for some walleyes.

He has been fishing since he was 1. He caught his first fish at a year old on my fly rod. A 2" gill but a fish none the less. If he keeps going he will surpass me. [blush] I hope my baby girl will fallow suit.

No, he is only three. No big guns yet. It is a daisy buckmaster bb gun. He doesn't know the difference yet. He has shot a .22 and 12 guage though.
