Availible fishing reports this week - lonehunter - 01-06-2007 From our fishing buddy "SeriousSportsman" in the rhodes area comes this report ; They have been catching perch off palmer rd. in the cuts... From my area , Theres flooding going on in the rivers as the dams are lowering the lake levels . Chapple dam has a earthen dike that is saturated and failure of the structure is a waiting game . fishing remains open for shore and boat anglers looking for perch and other panfish. The Beaverton dam has holes and Ross lake level has been droped 12 feet , fish above the dam at the bridge for crappie . The current is running fast everywhere downriver and the saginaw river is just churning out into lake huron , walleye fishing is on the up side out in the bay . The word from a few of my fishing buddys has me heading over to tippy today , all that rain has pushed the steelies all the way up river . We had a report from one of our southeast anglers fishing lake erie but I acidently deleated the post (sorry) . He reported several eyes cought while out in his boat from sterling state park to luna pier . [signature] |
