Dog Creek Report - idahopanfish - 03-19-2007
Went out Sunday afternoon in the wind, love my trolling motor[cool]
2 bumps no fish, water was very murky and fish finder needed batteries. Talked with another fisher and they had only 1 trout.

Thanks for that report. I just found out about Dog Creek about a month ago and wondered if there was any fish in it.

It is supposed to have trout, crappie, perch, catfish, bullheads, bluegill,small and large mouth bass and tiger muskie. I have caught trout and perch so far.

Yep, Dog Creek Res. has all of those fish you listed. I grew up in Gooding and have fished that reservoir too many times to count. Night fishing for cats has to be my favorite. This res. goes in spurts and some days the fishing is first class and other days you might get some moss for your troubles. I have never personally seen a musky come out of there and I am a little skeptical about their survival through the years. I have heard plenty of stories about "hooking some kind of monster" though. Anyway, if anyone would like to "hook up" for some fishing, let me know.
