Big bass - Dryrod - 03-23-2007 [center][cool][font "Poor Richard"][green][size 3]This beauty was caught at Puddingstone Lake in San [/size][/green][/font][/center] [center][font "Poor Richard"][green][size 3]Dimas. Heres Tony's story.[/size][/green][/font][/center][font "Poor Richard"][green][size 3] [center][/center][/size][/green][/font] [left][font "Poor Richard"][green][size 3]This fish was caught this week at non other than Puddingstone Lake (San Dimas, Ca). My buddy and I were fishing the east shore just to the right of the north pier. I had just released a nice three pounder and was very pleased. Twenty minutes later I tossed a four-inch neon blue plastic worm about twenty yards out and hooked up again thinking that it was about the same size fish. I quickly realized that this fish was much bigger since it started peeling line off my spinning reel which only had 6 lb test Triple X. I slowly worked the bass closer to shore and it shook its head out of the water as my buddy looked on in amazement! I felt I could lose this one at any second, but kept steady pressure without pulling too hard on the light line. I finally swam it close enough to grab its lip and yell over to my buddy Troy to grab a camera and get a shot. It is my biggest bass to date. We estimate it weighed somewhere between 10 and 12 lbs. There are some nice dropoffs by the dam where they congregate. Nice fish ! [signature]
