Lindon Skunk - road - 04-15-2007
Myself and the boys got to Lindon around 6:30. Took for ever to get everyone in the water today. Should have known then something was amiss.
The 3 of us, FB2, USMC, and myself fished the harbor pretty hard for about an hour. Docks, berths, banks everywhere. Nothing not even a nibble. We threw everything at then including rapalas. Talk about desprate!
I told the boys I was heading North. Was hoping to pick up some fresh bait. But my usual Crap hole was empty as was the whole north side of Lindon. I worked it from the transfer station to the 5th tower and back. Nothing, no bites, no nibbles. No fish on sonar.
I tell the boys I'm heading to the bubble-up. Fished there also with out so much as a bump on the line. By now the boys are back at the truck waiting on me. So I let the gentle breeze blow me back to the harbor. Winds started out from the north when we got there. And as soon as I headed to the bubble-up they changed to blow from the south. Probably why the boys headed in.

I know that fish is around there somewhere....Someone is bound to catch it sooner or later. [laugh]

USMC is not only a new fisherman but had never been in a tube before. So we opted for some protected waters so he could get use to the tube. As it was he ended up with leg cramps. Not to unusual for a beginner. Ya always think it's like walking and over do it.
Besides I usually do pretty well at Lindon. It's close to my work and I go there a lot to relax and wet a line. But it is still a bit early for a fast bite there.

Its always nice to get someone hooked on tooning,tubing. Hopefully they enjoyed it. Maybe the fish will bite more next time!

It's still early for Lindon a couple of weeks and the crappie will move in followed by the kitties. Then it will only get better from there.

Hey PL I didn't answer your question. Yes je liked it just fine, as is looking forward to another outing. His wife however isn't real thrilled about it. USMC is not acoustomed to a fishemans hours. getting up early makes him cranky LOL.
