Carp on the Fly - zonker - 05-15-2007
Hi everyone,
Just found this forum. I like to fish carp on my flyrod. Here are some recent reports I posted on the float tube forum:

very nice, lots of good fish. i wish the carp here would feed topwater, but no such luck.

These guys were feeding on the bottom, not the top. I seldom get a chance to fish for them at the surface. It takes a pretty good number of items on the surface to get them to start looking up. Chumming might work on that account but it is illegal in Oregon where I fish.
