[#0000ff]Just had a thought. If you think you are good with a flyrod, maybe you could try getting one of those airborne carpinskis to hit "ON THE FLY". I noticed that one of the bow guys hit a carp right in the mouth. You gotta be as good as them. Right?[/#0000ff]

Well, Duh! Must have been that sugar I put in my coffee or something. It took me 10 minutes just to figure out how to spell "aerial." Thanks for the edit.
[cool]I suspect that trying carp on the "fly" with me in the boat would put everyone in danger. In fact, the truth said, anybody in the near vicinity of my efforts even under normal circumstances might be in danger on any given day.
That aerial bowfishing sure looks like fun, eh?

Great article. Kinda scarey though.
I've heard that those fish don't respond well to conventional rod and reel fishing. Then again, it might seem redundant trying to catch one on a rod and reel when you can just drive around in your boat in a catcher's mask and fill it up from the flying fish.
Sure hope they can get them under control. Hard to imagine the Great Lakes fishery being wiped out by Silver Carp. And if that happened how would they ultimately keep them from going nationwide. The guy with the fish market might have the best idea. I can see it now as special wide bodied harvest boats are invented with large "catching arms" extended for flying fish...

How do they get the fish to jump like that...is it just the running of the boar thru their waters...
Where is this at... I think it would be a blast to try this with my old bow... maybe take my son in law along.. LOL>..
Are those drivers getting hazardous duty pay...I mean....broken bows.. broken sun glasses...shots to the head and back and ribs.. dang.. you know everyone goes home happy but sore...LOL..

That article mentioned they might be kind of tasty. Has anyone tried them or even seen one? I think it would be fun with a bow, shotgun, AR or pistol But than again the higpowerd suff would be real dangerous for those around you so you would have to stick with a bow or shotgun.

LOL>. Id say it is just as dangerous for the shooters and the guides.. saw a lot of fish hitting people and equipment.. at least one bow was broken.. and that takes a lot to do that.. but all in all I still think it would be a blast to try it...
