Twin Lakes 6/1 to 6/2/07 - BrianID - 06-04-2007 Made a camping trip to Twin Lakes a few days ago. Had a good time fishing for bluegills. The weather was great but it was crowded. There was a bass tournament there Saturday. I also took time to do some bass fishing. We also caught a few trout, crappie and perch. Here are a few pictures of some colorful bluegill. This is a picture of a bluegill I dubbed "one-eyed-jack". My friend caught him twice on Saturday. Here are a couple more pictures. The first one is a largemouth and second one is a crappie. If ya know where Banida is, your there! From Malad, I would guess its about 45 minutes? Go N. on I15 to Downey and head toward Preston, its on the south side of the road. I believe its a $5 fee to enter the lake area (its a private lake). Also, just a couple miles farther down the road toward preston, on the NE side of the road is a little reservoir called Winder. Also a good kids spot, no boats (Twin Lakes will be packed with skiers and jet skis) and no fees. Of course, I think my 5 year old caught all the bluegills out of winder last saturday LOL [signature] Re: [IDHunters] Twin Lakes 6/1 to 6/2/07 - lunkerhunter2 - 06-12-2007 Thanks. [signature] |
