Jordanelle therapy float 6-7 - doggonefishin - 06-08-2007 After working 3 consecutive 12 hour days, I had the chance to get off early enough to make my first Jordanelle float trip of the year. I didn't have too much optimism with the recent cold front just passing through, but I just needed a break and want to fish "lake X". Happily, there was little wind and excellent conditions except for the cooler temps. Also, to my surprise, the bassin was great! Caught a few rats, a number of 10-13 inchers, but I got a couple of 14's, one 16 incher, and a nice 17 1/2 incher. I took the balky camera with me again. It did a little better tonight, and I included a few pics from tonight. I guess the camera doesn't like slimers[]. These are fairly typical Jordanelle bass. I had the lake pretty much to myself, except for one fishing buddy. I took a couple of pictures of him. [/#0000ff] [#0000ff][/#0000ff] [#0000ff]I have had Jordanelle on my target list too, but with the up and down weather and other commitments, I have not made it yet. I'm kinda hopin' to find some perch pretty soon, but I know that they will be better in a few weeks.[/#0000ff] [#0000ff][/#0000ff] [#0000ff]But...I ain't proud. Heck, I'll settle for a few smallies and slimers. [/#0000ff] [#0000ff][/#0000ff] [#0000ff]Looks like the water level is right up to the top. Glad to see that. it was looking pretty grim for awhile. That will bring a bunch of fish up into the stumps and brush piles around the inlet.[/#0000ff] [signature] Re: [doggonefishin] Jordanelle therapy float 6-7 - Flycasting - 06-08-2007 Very nice. Can't wait to float it this year. (Plastic "stick" baits) I pitched a crank bait for a short while with no response. Did ya get the biggest by that structure? I had several good hits there but being old and slow I missed more than I hooked. [signature] Re: [road] Jordanelle therapy float 6-7 - doggonefishin - 06-10-2007 If memory serves correctly, I got a couple of 11-13's and one 14er in that pictured area. The heron got skunked[]. The bigger brutes were caught only a little ways away though. I am planning (hoping) on floating "X" again on Thursday after work. Drop by if you have the chance. [signature] Re: [doggonefishin] Jordanelle therapy float 6-7 - road - 06-11-2007 I think I can manage that. I'll see ya around 5:30/6:00 pm. Unless I get lucky and can get there earlier. [signature] |
