BAITCASTER HELP!!!!!! - chipleader13 - 06-12-2007
OK so I got i've been fishing for a long time now with spinning reels an i recently got a baitcaster. I've read enough articles on casting and technique but i'm not sure exactly on how to hold the rod. im a righty so i hold the rod with my left hand and crank with my right. im not sure how to position my left hand when im reeling the line in. ive watched alot of fishing shows and it seems they have their thumb on top of the reel. where exactly do u put ur thumb?

Yes, posistion your thumb ontop of the reel.. better control plus if ur line goes nuts you can stop it.. [cool]
