Well for the wifes birthday, I went fishing.
I took my Dad out for a couple of hours and we managed to hook 2 wipers. I missed at least two fish that hit but never hooked. I can't remember the last time that I had two fish miss the hooks. One of the times the fish left me a scale on the hook. The two fish we got were on a small #4 rattlin rappala. Water temp was 72. The fish we got were not too bad one was 18" the other 19".

I fished Willard yesterday evening as well. I got the tube in the water at about 7 pm and was off the water at 9:30 pm. I managed to put 2 nice wipers (both 19") in the basket. I tried the crank baits but the thing that has been producing on a regular basis for me is the white 2" Maniac minnow.
It was a great evening to be out on the water, no wind and very few bugs - until the sun went down and then they came out in force.
I'll be back out on Friday evening! Watch out Wipers!
