Another Transom Saver Question - MarkM - 08-25-2007

I purchased a Transom saver for my 16 foot boat and 18hp Outboard. It is adjustable for different lengths. What length do I want it. Should I have the motor almost all the way up or just high enough to provide good clearance from the ground?

I believe the main reason for a transom saver is to take the weight off your transom, so it does not need to be adjusted any higher than you would need to have good ground clearance. I'm sure it could be what ever you want it to be, thats just my two cents worth. [Wink] WH2
