Strawberry 9-13 - tlspyder13 - 09-14-2007 Had my best day yet on the berry in a tube. Nineteen cuts and four rainbows. All but four were caught on a bright orange tube jig. Couldn't buy a bite on my tried and true white tube jig today. O well had a lot of fun just the same. Very good report. Randy [signature] Re: [tlspyder13] Strawberry 9-13 - trollboy8 - 09-14-2007 Rich, you are looking pretty comfy in your tube. I bought my tube back in June and have i taken it out even once? No. [signature] Re: [tlspyder13] Strawberry 9-13 - Kent - 09-14-2007 Hey Richard, I thought that Tincanfsh had the franchise on pumpkin tubes at Strawberry. I have seen him reel in a few fish on them. On some trips they seem to be the go-to tube. I have tried them several times, including my last trip up there, and I'm not sure that I have ever caught a fish on them. Before 8:30 I was just casting and retrieving slowly with nothing on the jig. After 9:00 I started tipping it with a little worm fishing the same. Picked up four or five on my second pole that I had just trailing behind the tube with a jig and some worm. The bows were between 19 and 20 inches. [signature] Re: [lunkerhunter2] Strawberry 9-13 - tlspyder13 - 09-15-2007 Not bad at all. Was nervous I only brought a long sleeve shirt to put on over my regular shirt but stayed warm enough. The weather station was reporting the temp at 49 deg just before we left. [signature] Re: [tlspyder13] Strawberry 9-13 - lunkerhunter2 - 09-16-2007 I was up on Ant Flat road this morning and it was 30* at 7:15. I love it. [signature] Re: [Out4aFloat] Strawberry 9-13 - orvis1 - 09-17-2007 I was there on the weekend, I guess I have to learn the jig thing... The air temp was around 48 and the water temp was about 59 but only one fish trolling. Even the proven pop gear and worm was comming up with nothing... [signature] |
