Echo Canyon Reservoir Fishing Report Sunday, April 6th - southernman - 04-07-2003 Echo Canyon is exactly 190 miles from my house in vegas . . i got to the reservoir and it was totally overcast . . .heres some pics of the lake . . cold front had just moved thru, they got snow flurries the last couple of days . . .wasnt too inpressed with the scenery there . . but i immediately starting catching fish, rainbows 10-12 inches, one after another on rainbow powerbait/crave combo . . . i tried a mepps spinner with my other pole snagged the first cast, lost the lure . . .so i switched to a weedless small spoon, lost that too after two casts . . so i stuck with powerbait.... another . . there was only one other couple fishing the whole time i was there, a number of people were camping though . . i caught about 10, threw em all back, and decided to try eagle valley reservoir at the spring valley state park down the road about 10 miles . . sm [signature]
