Where are all the trout at on Mantua? - scrodycat - 10-31-2007 Went last Saturday up to Mantua in the morning for some trout action. (Heard fron a reliable source it was good) Fished for a solid two hours using just about everything.. even trolling. Only luck we had was a nice hit on a little yellow fly we were dragging behind the boat. Water temp was 51 that probably is still a little warm for some good trout action. I know there are some big fish in Mantua, I was just wondering if anyone has had any luck there latley? Thanks for any help that is given [signature] Re: [scrodycat] Where are all the trout at on Mantua? - lavaman - 10-31-2007 Mantua is hit and miss for trout. For me at least, I catch more of them during the early ice season. Seems they're more active in December for some reason. Since Mantua is a very shallow lake, those troutskis can be very stubborn at times. They do tend to hang out more by the springs and inlet during the warmer months. [signature] |
