[sly]... and yes Im still verrryyyyyyy concerned about those big cats and sturgeons TN2 talked about earlier.. I hook into one of those on a tube and Im betting I will be done for the day.. heck.. if I got one of the sturgeon to tube I'd have no idea how idea whatsoever on what to do with it next.. like where do you grab a hold of it.. if I get it out of the water what do I do next with that much extra weight..[sly]... Ill be very happy to catch some good sized "regular" fish and not the monsters from the deep.. [sly]

Just remember on important factor for the fly flingers: The Trout are hitting in the upper 6 feet of the water column.
The big Cats and Sturgeon are mostly on the bottom and at depths from 8 feet down to the deepest parts of the lake.[cool]

The excellent trout fishing continues at Corona Lake with many anglers reporting limits and lots of quality fish have been showing as well. In the past week, nine rainbows over eight pounds were reported. More big fish will be going into the lake in each of the coming two weeks with rainbows in the 10 to 20-pound range being stocked. Catfish action is also good with some bass showing as well.
The trout bite continues to be excellent, especially for boat anglers, using chartreuse or corn yellow Nitro Bait. The best spots have been the dam and the mountain side of the lake.
Connie Carlton, Santa Ana, caught the top trout this week at 12-0 on Chartreuse Nitro Bait. Larry Yzaguirre, Riverside, landed five rainbows totaling 20-0 with fish to 11-0.Joey Louren, Wildomar, caught an 11-8 rainbow on a nightcrawler. Tony Bacca, Chino, caught 13 trout totaling 33-0 with fish to 10-4. Ryan Bath, Yucaipa, caught a stringer of trout totaling 22-8 with fish to 10-8 on corn yellow Nitro. Andrew Cabera, Riverside, caught a 10-4 trout at the dam. David Holloway, Anaheim, caught five trout totaling 18-0 with a 10-12 topping the catch. Austin Lopez, Rialto, caught a 9-8 rainbow on a nightcrawler.
The catfish bite has been best at night or in deeper water from boats during the day. The top baits have been mackerel or shrimp dipped in garlic Gravy.
Corona Lake is open seven days a week with fishing allowed from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. on day passes or from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. on an evening pass. Each of these $20 passes has a five-fish limit. The popular 24-hour fishing passes are offered on Friday and Saturday nights on the weekend nearest the full moon for the rest of trout season. These passes have a 15-fish limit and cost $45. Slow sinking line is good. If you don't have it you can always add some of the #6 tin split shots just above the fly. It will also cause a slow sink on a Dry Fly.

I would get there by sunrise. They do have time slots for the fishing. I would not enjoy getting there 1/2 hour before shift change and have to pay the next shift price.[crazy]
