That's why they are called PERFORMANCE ENHANCING drugs but give Bonds his due. The guy has been the league's MVP 7 times! He's a 14 time all star. 12 time silver slugger winner. He's been a golden glove 8 years. In 1994, before his steroid use, he was ESPN's Male athlete of the year. He hold a lot more records than just the home run records. ] Personally to me anyone who has no integrity when playing or refering any kind of sports is a piece of crap to me. I have played sports and now coach sports during the spring and summer and i teach my kids to work hard if they want to be good .Not everyone can be great so just be good at what ability you have been given. A cheater is a cheqter no matter what anyone says. And the worst part of cheating is when the cheater actually beleives they are not doing anything wrong.[mad][signature]

MLB dragged their feet with any enforcement or any strict testing to prohibit the use of these drugs until 2005. By turning a blind eye to it basically told players that it was OK to use them. Only after outside pressure was put on by the league to enforce a drug free environment did it happen. By that time, guys like McQuire, Consenco, Gambi, Bonds and a wide host of other were all doing them. More players were using them than either you or I will ever know.[/size][/black][/font]

If they had instituted drug enforcement and testing when other professional sports did, the problem would of not been there to the extent it was. When the league turns a blind eye to the issue because the results of these drugs are "good for the game" there is a lot deeper problem than just one guy and his use of these drugs, especially a high profile player like Bonds.[/size][/black][/font]

Bud Selig shoulders much of the blame. He wanted the fan base to come back after the lockout, and turned a blind eye when multiple guys started hitting 50 plus homers per year. Only congressional pressure put an end to it. I believe that very little would still have been done if not for that.

Roids let one heal much faster than those who don't use them. The days that someone might be out with an injury for a week or so become just days for those who use them. Barry lied point blank and was arrogant about it.
