Tube Trailer - mark1voman - 11-19-2007 Anyone ever try a tube as a trailer for a jig or spinnerbait? Any success with it? Inquiring minds ... If the tube was a different color than the skirt it would work for me but I would imagine there may be trouble keeping it on the hook. I've used Yamamoto Ikas' before on jigs with good success. I use alot of hula grubs, when the tails get bit off or the body is torn I'll cut the skirt off the top with about 1/2" of the body and use it as a trailer on a jig. A cheap alternative to an Ika. I've also glued grubs inside of a tube for jig trailers, neat action.
