Lake Cuyamaca anyone?? - tubeN2 - 12-05-2007

It was suggested to me that we make a trip to Lake Cuyamaca down in the San Diego area.

I have some open time on the next 2 weekends.

What are the rest of your schedules??

This will be a Tubing/Tooning trip but you are welcome to join as you wish.[cool]

[black]..just went to the Cuyamaca home page and there is a scrolling message saying launching of private boats is not allowed due to a problem with the Quagga Mussels...here is a quote from their site...[/black]

[#bf0000]"Due to Quagga Mussel "Private Boats" are not allowed to launch until further notice. We have an excellent launch ramp from which private boats over 10 ft. long may be launched. There is no horsepower limit, however, there is a strictly enforced 10 mph speed limit. Canoes and kayaks are allowed only during the Summer. Only Zodiac type inflatable boats are allowed. No inflatable rafts."[/#bf0000]

Re: [bendopolo] Lake Cuyamaca anyone?? - tubeN2 - 12-06-2007

Maybe we could come up with a few camera mounts to use.

Otherwise, Laguna Niguel is starting to look better for next Saturday, 12/15.

I do believe that lake opens at Sunrise so 6:30 ish should be good. There is another McDs just up the road from it too.[cool]

I got your PM. There are so many places to choose from. What color squishy are you using in Niguel? I managed to stock up on some through one of my sponsors. hee hee.

We will need to nail down a final decision pretty soon. I may have some of my other fishin buddies interested in joining us too. I could set up a carpool with them.[cool]

Sounds like its all coming together. All we have to hope for is some good weather. Then again if it is nasty out, the Kitties will come out in force.

Re: [bendopolo] Lake Cuyamaca anyone?? - tubeN2 - 12-09-2007

I'll take the rain over wind any day of the week. I have lost count of how many times I have fished in the rain and produced well.

I do remember both of the the times that I tubed in strong winds and gave thanks that the wind (25 to 35 mph) blew me back to where I launched from.[cool]
