Scofield: Ice at the island? - DallanC - 12-17-2007
How thick is the ice at the scofield island? Out in the middle? I'm thinking about heading down there friday and want to know if its safe to take snowmobiles cross to the island or east side.
Anyone fish there yet? Anyone see the army of atvs / snowmobilers out there yet?

It was about 7-9" when I was there Sat lots of snowmachines and wheelers out you should be o.k. it was about -14 when we got there sat am.

I was there today and it was 10-12" depending on which side of the island you were on. Be careful if your taking a snowmobile or ATV there are still several large pools of slush all over the lake. Saw a couple of guys trying to pull a 4-wheeler out that got stuck in the slush.
