How thick is the ice at the Gorge??? - hooked4life - 12-27-2007 I am wanting to head up on thursday or friday to slay some burbot and was wondering if the ice is thick enough for a 4 wheeler or not. I have only fished there once a couple of years ago and was glad I didn't take it with 4 inches. I think the open water line is still between Lost Dog and Buckboard. There was still open water along some of the cliffs at Lost Dog, so be careful.
