Where to fish the Gorge for lakers?? - Jacksonman - 02-20-2008

It looks like I will be doing an all dayer at the Gorge for the purpose of catching lakers. I will definitely be going to the Wyoming side. I plan on leaving Provo at 4 am or so and not leaving FG until after dark. Where should I go?? Pm me if you would like. I was thinking about going to Green RIver and fishing down at squaw hollow or further north. My goal is a 26" laker or bigger and maybe some bows or burbots for fun. If any of you have some good insight so I can make the most of my precious time and money and only trip to the gorge in the near future, please let me know. If any are heading out that day, I can provide good company (at least that's what my wife tells me).[Tongue]

I have never ice fished the gorge and have only fished soft water FG twice. I was thinking about Lucerne but it sounds like it is getting pounded. I don't mind walking 1/4 mile or so and I definitely want o be away from the crowds. A few pointers will be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks in advance, and if anyone else wants to join us, let me know.
