At times I really miss Utah, and I really missed Ice fishing. We had 1 good snow where I live 12" but it was gone in 3-4 days. Normal winter day is 45-50 degres and sunny, then you get days like today, fog so thick we couldn't see the back fence, 40 degrees and wind blowing 40-50 mph [signature] Re: [FlyFishingMoose] How do you chum for one of these? - ocean - 03-04-2008 Hey Dave hows it going with you and your family? Good to see you are still around. If i saw that deer out in the ocean i would have thought it was some kind of new species of fish! A community called Bear Valley Springs. [url "http://www.bvsa.org/"]http://www.bvsa.org/[/url] Here is a link to the place we live. Been fishing much? How's he family? Heard Utah had a tough winter, we had 1 snow worth anything 12" but it was all gone in 3-4 days. Its cold every morning around 20 degrees but warms up nicely to around 40-50 every day thru the winter. I am putting off surgery till i actually cant take the pain anymore. Thats a beautiful place you live in. We have gotten a lot of snow this winter but its never enough. Take care dave and do some fishing !! [signature] Re: [ocean] How do you chum for one of these? - FlyFishingMoose - 03-05-2008 We have 2 small lakes, and no liscense is needed if you live here, both are stocked, and they have a fishing derby once or twice a year for the kids. Cub lake is 2 acres, and 4 island lake is 40 acres. I've fished 4IL once, and got skunked. [signature] Re: [FlyFishingMoose] How do you chum for one of these? - ocean - 03-05-2008 What do they stock in those lakes? probably trout .That sucks that you got skunked you should ask some of the kids around there they might be the lake experts. [ ![]() [signature] Re: [ocean] How do you chum for one of these? - FlyFishingMoose - 03-05-2008 Trout, bluegill, bass, catfish, and a few other I can't recall. I don't remember the limits either, not much though. Not many people fish in the valley, mostly kids in the summertime. Brite lake is not far away but I haven't been there yet. Work and horses keep me busy here at home. We have 3 horses now at the house on just over 1 acre, still getting the horse facilities situated. Need lots of sand for my daughters riding arena and road base for the driveways much $$$$$'s out here. Patience works, things come in time. [signature] |
