There is about 5ft of open water along the shore. There's another 15 to 20ft of very questionable ice before you get to ice with a little snow on top still. There's no way I'd risk it.
Utah Lake- from the bench in Provo it looks like there is a little open water around Lindon, maybe as far as the bubble-up, but most of the lake is still capped.
