Strawberry 03/06 - richyy31 - 03-11-2008 Sorry about the late post but here is a quick recap. We decided to head up late and didn't get there until noon on Thursday and fished until dark. It was a good day though I iced 29 and my friend iced 31. We only caught one just barely over the slot. They where hitting mostly glow jigs and some green tipped with either meal worms or power bait. The ice is still in great condition, at least for last weekend you could have easily taken a 4 wheeler all the way across the lake with no problems. Counting the frozen slush and the actual ice there is probably about 18" of ice still up there. You better get up there before it's gone. Thanks for the info. cc [signature] Re: [richyy31] Strawberry 03/06 - Kent - 03-11-2008 [black]"The ice is still in great condition, at least for last weekend you could have easily taken a 4 wheeler all the way across the lake with no problems."[/black] [black][/black] [black]I helped push 4 wheelers out of the slush several times on March 1st and on March 8th I spoke to a guy who was extremely grateful to get his 4 wheeler back on his trailer after getting it stuck several times trying to head towards Haws Point. I never sank in more then 5 or 6 inches. [signature] Re: [richyy31] Strawberry 03/06 - Kent - 03-11-2008 Some four wheelers must be lighter/and or just get around better than others. [signature] |
