Pineview Conditions - FISHAMANIAC801 - 03-15-2008
went up to the view today after work to scout it out .. i was hopin to launch the tube tomorrow but no such thing any time soon.. pulled off at the care takers walked down to the edge of ice looked decent enough to get on but looks are decievin for sure .. i chucked a 10 lb or so rock bout 5 ft out an away it went through .. might be possible to plank out on to the better ice but i will pass this go round .. i went back to my rig an made the circle round the lake .. theres a couple small pockets of open water in the north arm , couple 100yds in the middle inlet , and a 100 yd patch or so in the south other than that not much to speak of.. i also noticed that the shoreline all the way round was really mushy wet lookin.. i would say it will be at least a few more weeks till some open water exposes itself.. theres my report 4 what its worth if anyone decides to hit the view use your best judgement an a life vest, a rope, an a pair o cleets.. fish on ..FISHAMANIAC..
