Catfish - aceman698 - 03-29-2008 I got my first channel catfish yesterday, it was 26 inches, and was wondering how to clean it and some recipies? can you grill it the same as trout? I usually gut the trout leave the scales on cover in spices and butter inside and out wrap them in aluminum foil and through them on the grill. That will help remove some of the oils and make for a better tasting and healthier meal.[/#0000ff] [#0000ff][/#0000ff] [#0000ff][url "http://www.bigfishtackle.com/cgi-bin/gforum/gforum.cgi?post=142538;#142538"]HERE IS A LINK[/url][/#0000ff] [#0000ff][/#0000ff] [#0000ff]By the way, congratulations on a nice catch.[/#0000ff] [signature] Re: [aceman698] Catfish - tlspyder13 - 03-29-2008 Nice way to get started on the cats. I find the best way to clean them is to go down to the store and buy some, the farm raised stuff tastes better and skinning those things sucks. [signature] |
