Any new report on Yuba? - SoUtDuckHntr - 04-25-2003
I am going to make a trip to Yuba next week with our County Extension Agent. I have heard no recent reports on it. Has anyone been there lately and how was the fishing? I read the one report from a couple of weeks ago but was hoping someone has been there within last week or so.

i was there last weekend and not a thing but carp on the crawler harness and nothing on the crank bait we hit it hard all day..not much going on there right now maybe if the water get's a little warmer it might pick up..the water temp was in the low 40's..

Fuzzy, you were there last weekend? I was in the Utah Lake bass tournament. The weather and the barometer was low enough to affect the fish. Bass and walleyes do have the same reaction, they sulk with their thumbs in their mouths on the bottom! That may explain why you didn't catch anything worthwhile at Yuba don't you think eh? What do you think?

yeah that might have had something to do with the fishing.. but i have fished yuba for about 24 years but not much in the last 10years i was liveing in So cal.. but in years passed i have fished driveing snow storms on that lake and did very good on the eye's and pike.. you just have to get down and root them out.. but the last 2 times i have been there i have been rooting but still no eye's or pike.. so there must not be as meney in there sa days gone by.. thats to bad to i have had alot of fun fishing that lake to..
