Gas Theifs - muskyhunter - 04-13-2008

Lock your gas caps!!!I went to fuel up my beater car that I drive to work and when I opened the fuel door I had a peice of hose that had been cut off still in the tank. So I just went and purchased locking gas caps for my vehicles. M.H.

There are always those that try and steal what belongs to others, what is really bad is that some of those people are the kids of your neighbors[unsure]. One question, I thought car manufacturers started making cars that are hard to get a siphon hose into? I guess that doesn't stop them from trying[mad].

They need to stick that siphon hose in the tanks at the gas station. Hey if we all steal it from the gas stations maybe they'll lower the prices?! I'm joking obviously, I think stealing is absolutely despicable. But, this is just another result of our "fearless leaders" not standing up to the gas companies.

[cool][#0000ff]If you have a high clearance truck or SUV, you also need to watch out for guys that are drilling holes in the bottom of your tank and draining it into their own containers.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]There was a short bit on that on the TV news a couple of nights ago, showing gas tanks that had to be replaced.[/#0000ff]
