World's Largest Trout - The Taimen - RyanCreek - 07-12-2008 Up to 6' long and over 200 pounds. These big trout are really suffering, but conservation efforts AND catch and release fishing are helping to save them in the beautiful Eg River in Mongolia, a fly fisher's exotic paradise. This great little video (linked below) highlights this rare species, the Taimen, and describes the many benefits of fishing to help preserve them from extinction.
