This is my first year fishing for cats and I am having a blast. I haven't scored a really big one yet but I am going to keep trying. What kind of water should I be looking for to catch cats this time of year? Sand, Gravel, reed edges? I can kayak across the bay to the reeds or mess around outside the launch dykes, but I don't want to get to far away from shore. [signature] Re: [brownman] Lincoln cat's - fuzzyfisher - 08-04-2008 E-lake has been more then slow this year.. i think there is so much water in it this year and all the flouded vegatation is keeping them full with out haveing to look much for food.. most the fish i have cought up there are small cutt's 8 to 10 inchs trolling.. and alot of them have been deep.. 25 to 40 feet down.. next year should be a boom year. i hope! Also caught a few whities for kicks. All were caught on either shiner or carp. [:p] he did not want to take the boat or should i say did not want to put gas in the boat so i left it home. [crazy]. BTW when we going out cating again? [shocked].. i still owe ya a trip..
