Air pump and fins - terrysmith - 09-06-2008 I'm ordering an FC4 for the wife today. I decided to get her a good tube and I'll just use my old Hi and Dri while I save for a SFC. But have another question. Anyone have any input on air pumps. I see several around that are about $20-$24. Pros or cons? Any reccomendations? Also, for anyone shopping for fins, I found the Mares Avanti X3 for $39.95 plus $9.5 shipping at LeisurePro.com. I'm going to order us each a pair as soon Shirley gets home from work to decide what size to get for her. I know I need the XLs.[ ![]() Thanks Terry [signature] Re: [terrysmith] Air pump and fins - SHigSpeed - 09-06-2008 [quote terrysmith]I'm ordering an FC4 for the wife today. Those fins seem to be a pretty good deal too! Good luck with the new "Cat" and don't be surprised if the wife gets stuck with the Buck's when you repossess the Outcast! ![]() _SHig [signature] Re: [terrysmith] Air pump and fins - TubeDude - 09-07-2008 [cool][#0000ff]No need to spend over about $12 for a good double action air pump. Coleman, Stearns and others all make them to retail for about that amount. Some guys like the foot pump but I don't.[/#0000ff] [signature] Re: [terrysmith] Air pump and fins - ATFISHING - 09-09-2008 I have a rechargable Coleman pump that works really good both inflating and deflating tubes, matresses, etc. [url "http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=9870597"]http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=9870597[/url] As for fins, I've gone through several and the ones I ended up with are the Aeris Velocity fins opened toes, the ones in the link have a closed toe. They're a little pricey but worth it. Just be sure you get them big enough to go over your socks/waders/booties, etc. Also, I have one of the coleman pumps that ATFishing mentioned. Works great, but so does the two way hand pump that I keep as a backup and for topping off. z~ [signature] |
