Rifle Gap - mackaddict - 10-04-2008 For those of you who are into perch and crappie Rifle gap is choked up with them. I took my four year old boy out last week and he caught about 30 perch on his own. A simple split shot and worm rig no more than 8 feet from the boat. Even if you are with out a boat I don't see anybody having a problem getting a bunch. Most of the perch are 5-8 in. long with a few 8-11 in. The crappie are anywhere from 4 to 11 in. So if you are in the area give it a try they make great fish tacos. [signature] Re: [mackaddict] Rifle Gap - OLDGUYSRULE - 10-04-2008 Where is this rifle gap place? Rifle gape is approx 12 miles north-east of Rifle. It is a state park so you will need a pass they also have camp grounds and such so you could stay for a couple of dasy if you'd like. [signature] |
