I almost DIED!! (was My Day Fishing) - SHigSpeed - 10-11-2008 I went to Heenan lake yesterday. It's open only on F/S/Su between Labor Day and the end of October. It's a "free range" hatchery for the endangered Lahontan Cutthroat trout so it's zero limit, single barbless artificial only. Average fish is 18", up to 24. Here's a pictoral essay of my day: Gates open - Clear and calm Sun's up, and looking good! Uh oh! Brrr, it's NOT getting warmer... What's this? We don't get this in Rocklin! YIKES! Lovin' it! Heh... Time to dry off and warm up My rig: I need a truck! You'll notice on my self portrait I'm not using my oar fixture. Why? I dropped it in earlier!! GRRR... Lost my favorite 'roo leather wide brim hat as well. AND to add insult to injury, cataclysmic SKUNK! Oh well, it was a great day anyway. The End Epilogue: Next time there WILL be fish pictures!!!
