Bamboo break in - flygoddess - 01-13-2009 Got a 7'6" 5 weight custom Boo for Christmas and I had to go break it in with all this sun! A little pre-beat up, but still had some killer fight! Specially on a boo. [inline "P1130021 400.jpg"] [signature] Re: [flygoddess] Bamboo break in - SBW - 01-14-2009 Looks like fun. I found two old bamboo fly rods in my father in law's basement that are a little beat up, but still quite salvagable. Would it be worth trying to fix these up?? I don't know if I would ever use them but if someone had a interest in them, I could look at them more closley and give some specifics. Montegue (s/p) H&I and a couple of others were made in masses and very cheap and they are still cheap and not good action. Plus they were usually the 9' ers made for wet or dry fly. Very heavy. And Thanks, it was fun.....pulse raising fun! [signature] |
