Island Park........report - Pigwithfins - 01-22-2009 Well me and my buddy's made it out and had a good time yesterday. The morning was slow so we followed our fish finder AKA Leon. The fishing picked up in the afternoon and we landed some fish 12" to 18" tossed back four and missed numerous strikes. We fished just off the bottom in 10' to 15' water and used paddle bugs tipped with worms and mill worms. We followed the advise of previous postings, this aided our fishing trip allot so thanks for all the great reports. They are dirt cheap and work well. Buy a bunch because the hooks are cheap and so you will replace them often. Have been fishing Ririe and the sketchiness of the ice kept me from bringing the kids out. Even with the colder nights I'm still leery of the ice there. I haven't been there since before Christmas and all of the heavy snow. The ice is 18" to 20" and had 8" of snow on it then . When you go stay in shallow water . 5' to 15' . There are alot of people fish out to far and not doing very well .
