jordanelle update and report. - ctizzfishin - 01-26-2009 I was up at jordanelle yesterday (sunday) and there was plenty of safe ice on the rock cliff arm... I did not find them until right about the time we had to leave and once I did find them, I caught five in twenty minutes, it was pretty exciting. If you are going to Jordanelle to ice fish, my suggestion would be to go as far out on the ice as you possibly can, but be safe. We caught rainbows, it seemed like we could have sat right there and caught as many as we wanted to. However, when the fish came through they were very aggressive and I am pretty certain that they would have smacked anything. By the way, we were in 40 feet of water and all of the fish were suspended between 10 and 20 feet below the ice. hope that helps [signature] |
