World Record Rainbow Trout - catfish-logic - 02-08-2009
This was caught at a lake in Saskatchawan Canada. You'll have to look it up yourselves on the web; It weighs at 43 lbs.

I don't remember the story but I remember seeing the pics a while back. If I remember right the brothers hold some other rainbow records. It cracked me up the way the one guy was holding the fish [laugh]. No doubt a huge rainbow

I remember seeing this too Not to take anything from the record holder Congrats are in order But If I remember correctly the brothers fish outside or near of a trout farm Some of the fish in the farm were genetically engineered to carry more eggs All of them are pellet fed some how he caught one I dont remember if there was hole the net or if the farm was abandoned but the record was pending dont know if its true now.
One side note he did catch it on 6lb line that in it self is pretty amazing. [

If a hatchery fish of 8" is planted and grows to 50 lbs in the wild would it be in question its a record catch?
As I see it, its a record regardless how long its been in the lake as long as the feller caught the fish legally
