It finally happened...... Black_bear, and I finally had the best day of fishing this year. We fished deer creek, got there in the morning around 7:00, and walked out on the north east side of the island. On black bears first drop, we had a fish on the ice. We fished in about 30' of water, and caught them all on the bottom. Every fifteen minutes or so we had a school come around and the bites would come. Bites were very lite, and if you were not paying attention, you would miss them. We kept a total of 7, but caught 15, and missed several. All in all, we had a great day. There was just enough action to keep us interested. We left at 12:30, when the bites completely stopped.
