Port-A-Bote - Advice/Reviews - cadresults - 02-17-2009 Do these "Port-A-Botes" live up to the hype. The concept is intriguing. I notice they have a 14' model that is about 96 pounds. I would really like to hear if any of you have experienced them and what you think. I have a toy hauler and dont really want to double tow. Therefore, a fold up boat seems like a good idea??????? Disclaimer: I already posted this topic last May. Therefore, in order not to offend those who already replied(Toyguy), I am asking for a few replies, in addition to the excellent advise I received back in May. I enjoy mine, except that it is on the heavy side for one person to put on and take off of the top of the Suburban and carry it any distance. I have wheels for mine that help out at some locations. They are extremely stable (one can stand up in them and stretch one's legs) and they are durable. I would sure try to find a used one locally (probably too expensive to have a used one shipped).
