One Fly - sinergy - 02-26-2009 If you had only 1 fly to fish the Provo or Weber what would it be ? Me Id have to go with a #16 Bead Head Hares Ear [signature] Re: [sinergy] One Fly - flygoddess - 02-26-2009 Hummm.....either a beadhead Prince or a Copper John..... But what if there is a hatch??????[cool] [signature] Re: [sinergy] One Fly - lunkerhunter2 - 02-26-2009 Size 16 BH HE with orange floss for the head [signature] Re: [sinergy] One Fly - riverdog - 02-26-2009 I like big stuff on the Webe- size 10 bh prince, it gets down deep into those holes by itself and the fish there don't know the difference. One April I pulled out 19 nice size fish between 2 consectutive holes on the Webe with that. If you want a dry why not a nice muskrat fur mouse[laugh]. Provo you need to fish that small stuff most of the time- between that, the crowds and stunted fish I just don't bother. I'll stick with my Weber answers. [signature] Re: [riverdog] One Fly - lunchbox - 02-26-2009 Honestly I would quit fishing if I had only one fly to fish. But forced I would say a size 1/0 double bunny and fish only for pigs. [signature] Re: [sinergy] One Fly - PBH - 02-26-2009 #4 wooly bugger. [signature] Re: [PBH] One Fly - TS30 - 02-26-2009 If I had only 1 fly to fish at any water, any time of year....it would be a black seal bugger. If you narrow it to the Weber and Provo, that is interesting. But I'd have to day that I'd stick with that. You can catch fish all year long throwing meat. And it would be more fun than nymphing all the time. And if I only had 1 fly, it definitely would not be a dry fly. [signature] Re: [sinergy] One Fly - FOD - 02-26-2009 flash back BH pheasant tail. UNIVERSAL. But I have a hard time between that and a green Scud/Sowbug [signature] Re: [FOD] One Fly - fishjon - 02-26-2009 I would have to go with a #6 mohair leach, but a huge bunny leach would be next. Always catch at least some on the mohair. It is my go to when nothing else will work. Fishjon [signature] Re: [sinergy] One Fly - litetackle - 02-27-2009 My # 16 ugly. It hasn't failed me yet. [signature] Re: [riverdog] One Fly - flygoddess - 02-27-2009 Make that a #12 for me. I have caught huge Carp to tiny Brookies off that fly. And as far as MEAT flies....the Cutt in Henry's are no-meat eaters. The 36" was caught on a small #12 Woolly Bugger/Nymph The 26"s and 28"s out of Strawberry, a Scofield.....#12 RED Copper John.
