BassERT, G'ville, Bass, 2-26-09, Yellburt - FishNews - 02-28-2009 Cracked the dawn with Yellburt yestiday at Mud.<br />Very tricky putting in there as there is no light at the ramp.<br />We were the second boat in and immediately started fishin in the general area.<br /><br />I was hoping for a magical G'ville day, but conditions changed in a 180 degree way at about 10:00 am.<br />Here came the wind. The predicted 7-9 went to 11-15 and it had occasional white caps The air temp was ok. but it went quickly back to cool when the wind kicked in.<br /><br />Yell started with a nice keeper on a jig at before light and I took his pic.<br /><br />Later I was dragging a weightless sweet potato pie around and caught a couple--short tho.<br />We tried the tackle box and I even threw topwaters, but no luck.<br /><br />We both had some more puny fish and we had so many hits with misses that I was embarrassed by the fact that we didn't hook up on them.<br /><br />When we got back to pull out at the ramp we saw the place was full on a Thursday--loaded up and boats everywhere!<br /><br />Nevertheless, It was a comfortable day and it was really nice to go fishin with a good person like YB!<br /><br />Can't wait to go again, buddy!!
