jig head flies - jigs - 03-06-2009

not realy a fly fishing question but more of a jigging question. I have been tying some flys onto some floating jigs for steelhead. which seem to be working. I thought maybe the effect of the eyse on a jig might help get a hit.
But now i am trying to find a good fly to try for walleye, i hear they love the perch. So maybe something that resembles a perch or a gold fish, or a carp. Anyway just thinking out loud any input would be appreciated. Even if you think i am just nuts.

[Image: happy.gif][#008000]Hi there jigs - I have never fished for walleyes but once you mentioned their taste for perch I immediately thought of a Clouser Minnow. My second choice would be a light colored Woolley Bugger.[/#008000]
