Ice Off? - utahfisher - 03-16-2009 I've been hearing reports of open shores, but slow fishing for most of the reservoirs around the state. I've been told that "ice-off" is technically a few weeks after the ice melts and the fishing picks up again. If this is true, then where would be the best bet right now? Do you know anything about the fishing around Jordanelle, Rockport, or EC? I haven't had the time to call around about the conditions. East Canyon: http://stateparks.utah.gov/stateparks/conditions/park-conditions.html?id=ecsp Rockport: http://stateparks.utah.gov/stateparks/conditions/park-conditions.html?id=rpsp Jordanelle: http://stateparks.utah.gov/stateparks/conditions/park-conditions.html?id=jdsp You can also always check here and you might be able to get some further information: http://wildlife.utah.gov/fishing/reports.php If you're looking for trout, drive south. There's plenty of open water down there! [signature] |
